Employment Opportunities

Are you hiring counselors?

We are always interested in hiring counselors who are passionate about serving our community. Some important qualities we are looking for in applicants include: experience in counseling, strong clinical ethos, desire to learn, and a niche that can be expanded on in our geographical location. We are open to considering both associate-level and fully licensed counselors. Limited-licensed counselors with many years of experience and fully licensed counselors will be given priority in the hiring process. We also recognize that our group may not be the right fit for everyone. If you want to have your own private practice and are not interested in remaining a part of a group practice long-term, we may not be the right fit. We are happy to schedule an individual meeting to discuss the opportunities available within Flatland Counseling & Consulting.

How is group practice different from independent practice?

Group practice varies in several essential ways from the independent private practice setting. Generally, group practice offers community and connection with other likeminded professionals. Our group offers several unique ways to increase a sense of connection and support. We provide regular free group consultation to all counselors in the group. The clinical director schedules regular meetings with the counselors to share and receive feedback about the group atmosphere and ways the company can best support them. Both the owner and clinical director are accessible to the counselors to offer support and brainstorm on areas of growth. The FCC group offers the opportunity to do more of what you love and less of what you don't. If billing, stress of overhead costs, marketing, and the business side of private practice is unappealing, a group practice may be a good fit. Flatland manages these tasks for you, while you focus on the clinical care of your clients. We offer weekly payouts for appointments at a highly competitive rate. You do not pay for any subscriptions or overhead fees out of the amount you receive from your clinical work. Additional perks unique to this group include a set reimbursement rate for trainings in evidence-based psychotherapies and a beautiful office space to utilize in Lubbock. Finally, our group practice can credential you with insurance companies which will likely increase your client base. There is no cost for the credentialing services within the group.

What makes Flatland different from other group practices?

We love this question! We are proud to have a practicing owner and clinical director who have designated time for counselor development, supervision, and community networking. This allows you to develop your clinical skills and build confidence as a mental health professional. Our mission as a group practice is not only to provide excellent mental health services to the West Texas region and beyond, but also to have happy, competent, and passionate counselors who want to be here!
