My roots are firmly planted in West Texas, where I learned the values of hard work and determination. After high school, I joined the military, beginning my service as a Chinese Linguist in the Air Force and then soaring the skies as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot in the Army. These experiences have deeply enriched my understanding of human resilience in the face of pain, strife, and turmoil. They've also taught me the profound importance of mental health, especially in high-stakes environments like the military and first responder communities.
My approach to therapy is client-focused and rooted in a Rogerian stance, emphasizing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence in our sessions. I am trained and competent in a variety of therapeutic techniques including DBT, CBT, PCIT, and I am certified in TF-CBT, I am committed to finding the approach that best suits your individual needs.
No matter where your place is in life, your well-being is the foundation from which you can best support those around you. So, let's work together to find your strength and peace. Reach out, and let's start this journey together. You're not alone, and your story truly matters.
