Our Story
Counseling Rooted in Quality & Compassion
Our Story
I started Flatland Counseling & Consulting in August 2021 with a simple goal: to provide quality, intentional therapy with a strong focus on trauma. At the time, I was practicing as a solo provider, and I knew I wanted to create a space where people felt genuinely seen, cared for, and supported in meaningful ways.
As I continued serving clients, it became clear that the needs in the Lubbock community were greater than what I could meet on my own. Because of that, Flatland began to grow into a group practice made up of counselors who share that same commitment to thoughtful, high-quality care.
One of the things that matters most to me is that therapy never feels one-size-fits-all. Each counselor at Flatland brings their own unique strengths, personality, and passions to the work, and I believe that makes our practice stronger and allows us to serve clients in a more personal and meaningful way.
Our Mission
My mission in starting Flatland was to build a practice centered on intentional, compassionate, and high-quality care. I want every client who walks through our doors to feel respected, understood, and supported with care that is tailored to who they are and what they need.
Our Vision
My vision is for Flatland Counseling to be a place where people in the Lubbock community can find excellent therapy that feels personal, honest, and deeply thoughtful. I also want it to be a place where counselors can do meaningful work, grow in their strengths, and serve the clients they feel most passionate about helping.
